Louise Lloyd
Soprano
Louise was born in Wiltshire and studied at Birmingham
Conservatoire, where she was awarded the St Clare
Barfield Memorial Bowl for Operatic Distinction, and
Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
Currently studying with Lillian Watson, Louise's operatic
roles include Barbarina in The Marriage of Figaro
(Iford Arts), Gianetta (cover) in L’Elisir
d’Amore (Anghieri Festival-BYO and Southbank
Sinfonia), Frasquita (cover) in Carmen, Rowan in
The Little Sweep, La Cugina in Madame
Butterfly (Longborough Festival Opera) Mrs Coaxer and
Dolly Trull in The Beggar’s Opera, 1st Boy
in The Magic Flute, 1st Witch in Dido and
Aeneas singing with Yvonne Kenny as Dido (Opera
Project), Musetta in La Boheme (OperaUpClose) for
Cock Tavern Theatre and Soho Theatre, Susanna in Le
Nozze di Figaro (Birmingham Conservatoire),
Léonie (cover) in La Vie Parisienne, Poppea
in L’incoronazione di Poppea, Tanterbogus in
The Fairy Queen (Guildhall School of Music and
Drama).
Winner of the 2008 Recital Prize at Oxford Music
Festival, other concert appearances include Symphony Hall
Birmingham, St Martin-in-the Fields, St Luke's LSO &
Chipping Campden Music Festival. Future engagements
include Despina in Cosi Fan Tutte, Kate Pinkerton
in Madame Butterfly (European Chamber Opera) in
Kuwait and Bahrain.
