Friends and Patrons

We welcome and encourage people who would like to support the Society in putting on a varied programme of major choral works and lighter concerts, and would like to stay in touch with the Society's activities between concerts. There are two opportunities for individual support: the Friends and Patrons schemes. Subscriptions run from the start of the choir season in September. Both schemes have been improved for 2009-10 to provide better value for our supporters.

Friends Scheme

Joining this scheme requires a minimum contribution of £20, which we request is Gift-aided if you are a UK tax-payer. For your contribution you will receive:

• Termly 'Friends Focus' newsletters with Society news, plus copies of the Society's Summer Notes with choir news and AGM reports

• Personal invitations to attend concerts, social and open choral events and, from this season, the Society's AGM in June

• One discounted Season Ticket which, from this season, can be in the name of any individual (this offer is only open until the end of October each season). For Friends the discount is 15% i.e. reduction to £31 and £27 concession.

• Acknowledgement by name in concert programmes unless you opt out of this.

Patrons Scheme

For a minimum contribution of £75, in addition to the benefits of the Friends scheme you will receive:

• A enhanced discount of 25% on one season ticket i.e. reduction to £26.50 and £23.50 concession, which can be in the name of any individual (this offer is only open until the end of October each season).

• Two tickets for each of the Autumn, Spring and Summer concerts at a £5 discount per ticket, so you can invite your friends to join you at discounted cost.
