St John Passion "The opening chorus was a firm appeal for heavenly inspiration and it was sung with a sweeping smoothness, the subsequent chorales were neat and, in Who Has Hit You?, there was a balanced, legato lament. The well-rehearsed singing, continued through the whole performance."

'On Christmas night' "Their reflective singing of Berlioz' The Shepherd's Farewell was beautiful, well-balanced and smooth."

Handel's Ode on St Cecilia's Day "They brought out the pure joy of Heavenly Harmony and the grandeur of the Sacred Lays."
"They were equally well-prepared for Mozart's "Great " Mass in C Minor. The Kyrie was lovely; their attack in the Gloria was bright - and there was an impressively neat slide into et in terra pax ..."
