About Wokingham Choral Society

A warm welcome awaits at WCS!

WCS is an auditioned choir, renowned for the high standard of our classical choral singing. For over 70 years, our friendly, hard-working choir has enjoyed rehearsing, performing and having fun together. We pride ourselves on our welcoming ethos and offer wonderful singing and social experiences for our members.

Our choir's aim is to make good music accessible and enjoyable for everyone, offering our local community affordable high-quality concerts and introducing music to new audiences. We also raise funds for national and local charities through concerts, special events, and carol singing at Christmas.

Our two major concerts each year feature great works from the classical repertoire, as well as lesser-known pieces, performed alongside professional soloists and orchestras. We also sing a family Christmas concert and a Summer concert of lighter music. We run regular ‘Come & Sing’ workshops, organise tours to perform at inspiring venues, and collaborate with other local choirs, orchestras and schools.
